Australia – “Around the Clock”
From May to July 2016 we did a circumnavigation of Australia in our Caravan.

We have been wanting to go to Broome for years but something else always came up. We decided that 2016 was the year, regardless of what else was happening. We were committed to travel to Europe in September so the trip was a little rushed and if we were to do it again we would allow twice as long or more. The map above shows the route that we took – ignore the alphabetic points – they were used to draw the map and it was too hard to delete them!
Once we got into the north of the country, tempertures were five to six degrees hotter than was normal for that time of year and on some days we struggled with the heat.
After heading south from Broome temperatures quickly became cooler and from Newman south, downright cold with the added benefit of rain!
