Scandinavia 2012

We spent August travelling in Scandinavia.  Starting in Helsinki we stayed in an apartment for a few days and then travelled by train to Turku where we stayed in a hotel.

From Turku we caught a ferry to Stockholm which took most of the day and again stayed in an apartment.  From Stockholm we rented a car and drove to Jarvso where we stayed in a hotel and visited the Jarvso zoo.

Then we drove to Sunne and stayed at historic Länsmansgården.  From there we drove to Oslo and stayed in an apartment.

After a few days in Oslo we caught a train to Myrdal and changed trains and rode the Flam Railway to sea level to catch a ferry to Balestrand.  We stayed in a hotel in Balestrand and then caught a ferry to Bergen where we stayed in another very old hotel which had UNESCO Heritage listing.

From Bergen we flew to Copenhagen and stayed there for a week in an apartment.
