Civitavecchia and Sardinia

Civitavecchia is a fairly big city and is the port for Rome, two hours away. As we are coming back to Rome for three days in September we decided to just walk around the local area.

Before getting back on to the ship we stopped at an outdoor cafe and had a pizza. It was up there with the best pizza we have had.

Our next stop was Golfo Aranci, Sardinia. The town’s main attribute is its beaches. Seabourn provided a bus to take us 30 minutes to a more interesting town called Olbia. A couple of cruise ships were anchored offshore so lots of tourists in town – although I with patience I did manage to get some photos without lots of photo bombers!

  1. You are doing well with your avoid-the-tourist pics. What made it one of the best pizzas?
