As you sail into Lisbon there are three impressive sights: first is the Belem Tower.

Close by is the Age of Discoveries monument.

A short distance further on is the 25th April suspension bridge.

As we had been to Lisbon before a couple of times and we were both recovering from the lurgy, we decided to take a short walk to find some Portuguese tarts to give to our suite attendants who look after us so well.

We had to share the port with two large ships – Anthem of the seas (4,905 pax) and Carnival Voyager (2,124 pax).

The Portuguese tarts were very well received. Ironically, Seabourn had the same idea and we were all treated to Portuguese tarts when we got back to our suites after dinner!
