Northern Hemisphere 2026

In July we started out on a three month adventure. Starting with a few days in Reykjavik, then two 11 day expedition cruises with Seabourn around Iceland and then Greenland. To be followed by a seven week cruise to Canada and North America and some time in Montreal

We were fortunate to fly in Suites Class on Singapore Airlines from Sydney to London. Suites Class is what Singapore Airlines calls their first class offering on the A380 aircraft. Absolute indulgence!

Plenty of room in the suite – a large chair and a bed.

There are six suites on the aircraft and two can be joined together by opening the wall between them. As well as a very spacious and comfortable seat, the suite also had a fold down bed – which ends up as a double.

The bathrooms continue in the luxury theme. There are two shared between the six passengers in Suites Class.

No shortage of very fine wines to choose from. This red was outstanding.

A large serve of caviar to start off

Next came ravioli filled with prawn meat and the main dish was lobster Thermidor. We had an amazing desert which looked spectacular with a taste to match.

We were able to get a decent sleep on the 14 hour Singapore to London leg so by the time we arrived in Reykjavik we were not feeling too bad – although still weary. We checked into our hotel around 5.30pm. We ordered room service, had a shower and were in bed by 7.45pm. I was asleep by 7.46pm! And then woke up just before 8am the next day.
